Dr. Nikolay Brunzalov: There are no killer doctors in Bulgaria

Mistakes are possible, whoever is infallible, let him throw a stone, added the chairman of the Bulgarian Medical Association

I want to emphasize that there are no killer doctors in Bulgaria. This was stated in the studio of "The Day Begins" on BNT by the chairman of the Bulgarian Medical Association, Nikolay Brunzalov.

"No doctor goes to work to cause harm. As in any profession - mistakes are possible. If there is a mistake, oversight, neglect of a case, there are investigative bodies in the state that will say what exactly happened".

He expressed his sincere condolences to the relatives of the two deceased children. It is indeed very difficult, both for the parents and for the medical team that worked on these cases, to endure such a thing, he said.

"Let him who is without sin cast a stone. This is what the Bible says. We are human", said Brunzalov.

And how many Bulgarian patients have been cured in this time interval, he asked.

"Put a camera in the place where patients are discharged with a smile, having received health in this medical institution. And why is there no one there? Let us not create such conflicts in society. Mistakes happen. I agree. We want the truth to come out quickly. But the fact that our system is cumbersome, that hospitals are being destroyed and that killer doctors are being labeled, is categorically not", said Dr. Brunzalov.
