Delyan Peevski files complaint with the Competition Commission for a thorough examination of the activities and actions of “Lukoil Neftochim Burgas” AD and “Lukoil Bulgaria” EOOD on the market for import, processing and distribution of fuels. Also, the relations with other market participants, for the establishment of formal or informal coordination, which constitutes a cartel agreement and is a violation of the law.

The report states that there is a reasonable assumption that consumers and businesses are being harmed by the creation of a deliberate restriction on the import of fuels only by “Lukoil” for the Bulgarian market, which occurs with the consent of the other participants. This leads to higher final fuel prices than in real competition.

Delyan Peevski insists on immediate action by the CPC, which will lead to a full clarification of the facts and circumstances related to the fuel market. Then, if a cartel is established, the law will be applied in all its severity, and the rights of citizens and the interests of Bulgaria will be maximally protected.

The leader of the DPS and the PG of “DPS - New Beginning” Delyan Peevski has repeatedly notified the competent authorities about the actions of politicians and ministers in relation to “Lukoil”. This has happened both in the implementation of the derogation and the fulfillment of its obligation to return 0.73 cents/liter of its excess profit and the delayed payment of taxes by the company, as well as for the ties with former Finance Minister Assen Vassilev and former Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov from the PP-DB. And also for providing a political umbrella over “Lukoil”, harming people and businesses in Bulgaria.
