"Last week we showed that on certain causes we can be united - such is the example of the decision on the progress of the Republic of North Macedonia in starting negotiations with the European Union. On issues on which we can - we reach agreement, on others there are political differences, which is part of the political dialogue in the country. Within this National Assembly, there is a sufficiently serious political consensus on certain issues, including unanimity. Whether new political projects can be created - this is a matter of our political life and everyday life - it is certainly possible", said the Speaker of the Parliament Natalia Kiselova, after participating in the national pilgrimage in memory of Hristo Botev and his detachment on Mount Okolchitsa.
According to her, according to an interpretative decision of the Constitutional Court, the president has the right to make political statements - this is part of his opportunities to express a political opinion.
"In addition to the position of the European Central Bank, the position of the European Commission is also forthcoming - the next few days are important. The direction that we took categorically in 2005 is clear 20 years later. There are protests, but I do not attach such great importance to them. There will be no problem in the work of the National Assembly, as there has not been in recent months," emphasized Natalia Kiselova.
Regarding how she expects the Constitutional Court to rule on the euro referendum, Kiselova commented: "It is still early, let the court admit the case - then, according to admissibility, more can be said, the court has no deadline for ruling".
