Svilenski: They are secretly privatizing BDZ, the next victim is "Bulgarian Posts"

The government is putting the country's transport security and economy at risk. It is bypassing the law and is secretly starting to privatize the railways. Certain companies will benefit. Who are they and how many hundreds of millions are we talking about? The state subsidy alone, excluding the profit, is 218 million leva. This was stated in his position by Georgi Svilenski, a member of the Executive Council of "Unruly Bulgaria" and adds:

The scandalous thing is that the ruling majority is destroying one of the largest state-owned companies, BDZ! It is giving the profitable lines to private carriers, and leaving the losers to the state. The arguments of the ruling party are wrapped in cellophane: improving service and requiring European regulation. Under the surface, the intentions are completely different. The service will not improve, because only one carrier will operate on each lot, i.e. there will be no competition. It is a lie, and that it is required by a European regulation. The regulation is categorical that when the scope of the task is less than 23 million train km (and for Bulgaria it is 19 million train km) the state is NOT obliged to divide it into lots and give other operators to carry out the activity, but can directly assign the entire public transport service to BDZ, by providing it with both the state subsidy under the contract for the performance of the service and the newly purchased trains.

However, the government of GERB, BSP, ITN and with the support of DPS-New Beginning has decided otherwise. They are killing the state company by taking away the contract for the performance of the service. They are taking away its newer trains (those purchased after 2009) and not providing it with all the newly purchased trains from the state. In return, they let him operate only 75%, and only from one package (the western one), the loss-making lines, along with the old and broken trains, which are followed by constant repairs and breakdowns.

They provide private carriers with: state subsidies, new trains and profitable lines. For taxpayers, old trains, repairs and loss-making lines.

Congratulations to all Bulgarians on yet another robbery proposal by the government, in which there are 30 self-described left-wing and social parties. The BSP promised social responsibility and modernization within the framework of the national interest. Liars! Once again, you have lied to your voters, just to keep a few ministerial seats. You are not interested in Bulgaria at all and are selling it off for next to nothing.

The position of “Unruly Bulgaria“ is: the railway infrastructure is an element of national security. It must remain state-owned and operated. A new public service contract must be concluded only with BDZ, the state subsidy must be provided only to BDZ, as well as all newly purchased trains must be provided only to BDZ, the company must be stabilized, thefts must be stopped, security and service quality must be improved.

The next victim of this harmful management for the state is called “Bulgarian Posts“. The plan is exactly the same - hidden privatization! RESIGN!!!
