Milen Zhelev: There is a tendency for the big parties to try to eat the small ones

Beach vote of no confidence, for those camping on the yellow paving stones

The unsuccessful vote of no confidence is predetermined and represents a "beach vote", since a large part of Bulgarians are on vacation, and on the other hand, there are "beachgoers and campers" on the yellow paving stones in front of the parliament. There is a tendency for the big parties to try to eat the small ones. This opinion was expressed to the Bulgarian National Radio by political analyst Milen Zhelev.

"The vote of no confidence is aimed at the protesters outside," said Zhelev, who described this parliamentary instrument as losing content and meaning.

The political analyst described a possible vote of no confidence by the PP-DB in the summer or in September as an "own goal". "It is not clear to what extent they are blue, as well as to what extent the reds in parliament are red," he added.

"A lot of people will start talking about it. This is a blow from their own party to their own, but somewhere behind the scenes there is a compulsion for certain district mayors to turn against former party members," Zhelev commented on the corruption scandal surrounding the PP and the local government in Sofia.

According to him, there are no "broken people" from "New Beginning", while a "takeover" is being observed from the APS. "It is not accidental and probably illegal that the recording with the deputy mayor of Sofia Barbutov leaked," the political scientist pointed out.

"There is a tendency for the big parties to try to eat the small ones," Milen Zhelev expressed his opinion, analyzing the political processes in the country.

The current cabinet has a chance both for a 4-year term and to go into emergency mode due to the presidential elections. "The cabinet can suddenly be overthrown due to deliberate force majeure circumstances," the political scientist predicted.

Regarding entering the eurozone, Zhelev noted that neither prices will go to space nor will they be completely controlled.

The political scientist believes that Toshko Yordanov will be remembered only for his remark insulting young doctors.
