Yavor Bozhankov: Asen Vassilev wants the PP - DB coalition to split

The MP criticizes the lack of dialogue with Asen Vassilev and his tendency to forcefully impose his point of view

PP-DB MP Yavor Bozhankov stated today that he has valid arguments to believe that Asen Vassilev wants the coalition "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" to split. It statement was made on the air of "Your Day" on NOVA, amid disagreements regarding support for the fourth vote of no confidence in the government.

"I have valid arguments to believe that Asen Vassilev wants the split of our coalition. That is why I warn what this could lead to," Bojankov told the media.

According to the MP, the split of the PP-DB coalition will be a definite gift for Boyko Borisov and Delyan Peevski and will automatically make "Vazrazhdane" the second political force. Bojankov stressed that in key votes, Vassilev's different opinion is a worrying signal.

The MP criticizes the lack of dialogue with Asen Vassilev and his tendency to forcefully impose his point of view. "Assen Vassilev lacks dialogue and forces his point of view, including announcing in advance in the media what we will do without having made a decision together. This is not a very good way of working," Bozhankov said.

He called for preserving the unity of the coalition, especially at a time when it is "brutally attacked and our people are arrested on dubious charges".

Bozhankov said that the government uses forceful methods and emphasized the difference between PP-DB and populist parties. "We are not populists like 'Vazrazhdane' and 'Velichye'. Their votes of no confidence are in full sync. GERB protects Kostadinov's party from criminal prosecution," the MP believes.

He assessed "Velichye"'s motives for the rejected vote as if taken from "chat jeeps" and stated that it had no chance of success.
