GERB leader Boyko Borisov surprisingly appeared at the symbolic opening of the Drinking Water Treatment Plant in "Yasna Polyana" municipality of Primorsko.
The investment is for over 22 million leva and guarantees a secure water supply and high quality of drinking water for residents and guests on the Southern Black Sea Coast.
Borisov spoke about key topics such as Bulgaria's accession to the eurozone. He also commented on the arrest of Varna Mayor Blagomir Kotsev.
"I really cannot understand why this particular moment was chosen. When all of Europe was congratulating us, someone put a spoonful of tar in our honey pot. Guilty or innocent (Kotsev), I don't want to get into this topic.
This week, all of Europe stood behind Bulgaria. They accepted us into the eurozone, a dream of generations of Bulgarians. They accepted Bulgaria's position on North Macedonia. Zhelyazkov and Donchev renegotiated the Recovery Plan, which had been hanging for 4 years. All credit rating institutions, the largest in the world, raised our credit rating. The loans that "Bulgartransgaz" drew are at 2.5 percent interest.
