A vote of no confidence cannot pass. The meaning of the vote of no confidence is being devalued, it is becoming a PR move. At the moment, there is more noise than the possibility of actually torpedoing the government of the four-party coalition. This was said by the owner and director of the Sociological Agency "Mediana" Kolyo Kolev in the program "Bulgaria, Europe and the World in Focus" on Radio "Focus".

The fragmented opposition does not radiate strength and does not provide an alternative, he noted. "There is some kind of internal battle going on as to who is the truest oppositionist. This condemns the opposition to the inability to consolidate and offer active resistance to the ruling party," commented sociologist.

There is a lack of dialogue between society and the political elite, which sooner or later will lead to the collapse of the entire system, he believes. "At the moment, it seems that the ruling coalition has solidified itself, they have almost gained a majority and can deal with all their political opponents or at least ignore them. However, things do not look that way. Very soon, Europe and Bulgaria will face very serious upheavals, mainly economic, which will have an impact on politics and political processes. A large part of the political elites, not only in Bulgaria, but also in Europe as a whole, will give in“, predicts Kolyo Kolev.
