The District Court in Plovdiv with a second attempt to proceed with the case against Georgi Georgiev, accused of harassing 18-year-old Debora Mihailova from Stara Zagora, after the magistrates once returned the indictment to the prosecution for revision.
Deborah's case made headlines last summer when it emerged that the girl had received 400 stitches over wounds inflicted with a dummy knife. Georgiev was charged, and according to the prosecution, he also cut Mihailova's hair against her will and threatened her with murder. After all the judges in Stara Zagora recused themselves, the case was sent to Plovdiv by the Supreme Court.
