Kellogg: Peskov sounds like Orwell, it is not true that the US and Ukraine are dragging out peace talks

Trump's special envoy called on Moscow to act immediately

US President Donald Trump's special envoy Keith Kellogg spoke about Russia and the peace agreement with Ukraine and called on Moscow to act immediately.

Peskov's latest statements on the progress of the negotiations sound Orwellian. Russia's allegations that the US and Ukraine are dragging out peace talks are unfounded, Kellogg said.

He recalled that Trump has consistently and persistently advocated for an end to the war.

“We call for an immediate ceasefire and a transition to trilateral talks to end the conflict“, Kellogg concluded.

Earlier, Peskov noted that the dynamics of the negotiation process with Ukraine largely depended on Kiev's position and Washington's effectiveness as a mediator. The presidential press secretary recalled that Russia's position has long been known and understood. He also noted that it is necessary to take into account the "real state of affairs on the ground."

The US president said he expects progress in negotiations to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.

We need to resolve this issue and I believe that something will happen in this area.
