The choice of all-season tires (All Season) is a compromise, but modern high-end models achieve an exceptional balance. They are ideal for drivers who drive mainly in urban conditions or in areas with milder winters, but want security in case of sudden snowfall.
Here is our ranking, based on current tests by leading European organizations such as ADAC and Euro NCAP, as well as user opinions on models suitable for our conditions:
Snow and mud marking: All models listed have the 3PMSF (three-mountain peak with snowflake) marking, which means they are certified for use in severe winter conditions and meet the legal requirements in Bulgaria.
Tread depth: In our hot summers, keep in mind that all-season tires wear out faster than summer tires. Check the tread depth regularly.
Where you drive: If you are in Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas or another large city and rarely travel in the mountains, the all-season model from this list is an excellent choice, but if you live in a mountainous area (e.g. Smolyan, Borovets, Bansko) or often travel in heavily snowy conditions, a specialized winter tire remains the safest option.
