Details of a new electric sedan called the Lingxi L, which is the work of joint venture between Dongfeng and Honda, have appeared online. The new concept car was first unveiled at the 2023 Guangzhou Auto Show.
Now, thanks to China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the first images of the model have appeared online.
Under the "pointed" Lingxi L body has a lithium-iron-phosphate battery with a capacity of 59.22 kWh. This relatively compact battery drives an electric motor on the front axle with a power of 215 hp, which is enough for a top speed of 160 km/h.
The interior of the Lingxi L is dominated by a digital panel that has not one, not two, but five screens. These are the displays on the digital instrument panel, the central display of the infotainment system, a screen for the passenger and two screens for cameras replacing the side mirrors.
Dongfeng-Honda also equipped the electric car with a projection display on the windshield. Pricing and configurations of the new product have yet to be announced, but are expected soon.
It is known that Dongfeng-Honda's model line will consist of 50% electrified cars by 2025, and from 2027 the company will stop producing cars with internal combustion engines.
