The ministry also noted that the necessary protection for workers in the industry is provided by the military operations administration, the body of the armed opposition that has taken control of Damascus and other cities of the country.
The Syrian pound remains the only currency allowed to circulate in Syria in all its denominations. This is written in a statement of the Central Bank of Syria Facebook. The central bank has assured that none of the banknotes have been withdrawn from circulation.
Earlier, the head of the Syrian government, Mohammed Ghazi al-Jalali, expressed readiness for a peaceful transfer of power in the republic. As noted in a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry, Bashar al-Assad resigned as president of Syria and left the country, giving instructions for a peaceful transfer of power.
