American companies are most concerned about the impact of changes in US President Donald Trump's tariff policy on their profits, Bloomberg reported, citing data from the British bank HSBC.
“Everyone we spoke to is planning to restructure their supply chains, enter new markets or change their business model“, said Vivek Ramachandran, head of the bank's department, quoted by the agency.
According to his data, about 25% of American companies predict a decrease in their revenues by more than 50% over the next two years due to Trump's new tariff policy.
Chinese companies, on the contrary, are more optimistic about the impact of the American leader's tariff decisions. Half of the entrepreneurs surveyed expect a 10-25% decrease in income.
