Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko said that Kiev has lost about $2 billion in external financing as a result of non-fulfillment of its international obligations.

“We have already lost about $2 billion in external financing due to non-fulfillment of our international obligations“, the minister said, his words were quoted by Rada deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak in the Telegram channel.

Earlier, Rada deputy Nina Yuzhanina reported that Ukraine is not fulfilling its obligations and is misleading Western partners. She also expressed surprise that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Ukraine have reached a preliminary agreement on a tranche for Kiev at the end of May, as part of the eighth revision of the obligations assumed by the Ukrainian side. According to him, the Ukrainian side will receive $500 million. USD, although the initial estimate was 520 million USD.

The seventh IMF audit was more difficult. Thus, the fund's experts were not satisfied with the fact that Kiev did not fulfill two mandatory conditions (the so-called structural beacons) within the established deadlines. As a result, the Ukrainian side received a tranche of 400 million USD, although Kiev initially expected to attract 917.54 million USD.
