“The battle with the mafia is important, but it must be fought professionally and those who fight it must be prepared. I really hope that at the end of this epic, it will not turn out that Terziev did not fight the mafia, but a battle with the high prices of the mafia”, said Boris Bonev in connection with the statements of the Sofia Municipality administration after the cleaning order was partially terminated.
Regarding the termination of the order for Zone 3, including the Poduyane, Slatina and Izgrev districts, Bonev repeated the position of "Save Sofia" from yesterday, that it was the right, but very late decision. The act of termination of the order for the separate position is also subject to appeal and the deadline for this is 10 days. “In a country where orders for toilet paper are appealed, not appealing an order for 1 billion will be a signal that the mayor has negotiated with Valka, Taki, Titan, the Turks and the market is divided and cartelized”, said Bonev.
Bonev added that for “Save Sofia” the moral problem with garbage has always been that people with nicknames are invariably involved in garbage orders. “We don't want people with nicknames to clean - we want the municipality to clean. Only in this way can we guarantee that unclean economic interests will not rob Sofia residents, despite all the problems that may arise. This could have been done if the mayor had listened to our many calls to build municipal capacity”, said Bonev.
By law, the mayor of the Sofia Municipality is responsible for organizing garbage collection. “Whether with a municipal enterprise, a municipal company or private companies - he must decide. “A million and a half Sofia residents will drown in garbage so that someone can campaign or play hero, instead of sitting down and doing the job professionally and on time”, said Bonev. “We did not hear what the plans are for Zone 3 (Poduyane, Izgrev Slatina). The rumors that Terziev would work with the district mayors there are frivolous. The mayor of Poduyane - Eng. Hristov - organized a meeting with his colleagues to discuss the situation - the three districts do not have any equipment. There is no way they can handle the garbage of 200,000 people without equipment, he added.
Bonev's criticism of Terziev further intensified in terms of revanchism towards the mayor of the Krasno Selo district, Tsveta Nikolaeva. “Information has reached us that the Garbage Plant will remove its garbage containers tomorrow, which will further aggravate the situation”, he said. According to him, today the Krasno Selo district was served by 3 trucks, yesterday - by 4, and before the beginning of the crisis, the service was provided by 9 trucks - 7 day and 2 night shifts. “The claim that 80% is cleaned is a lie. Why one should lie in this situation - I don't know. Claims that everything is fine, given that people have eyes and can see that this is not true, are only detrimental to the interests of the municipality.”
