Traditionally, at the time of the adoption of the budget, when there is no monolithic political will, debates take place, but in the end, the ruling party, which is at the specified stage, manages to impose its vision. This was commented on in the program "Bulgaria, Europe and the World in Focus" on Radio "Focus" by sociologist Rumyana Bachvarova, former Minister of Internal Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister, as well as former Ambassador to Israel.
"In this sense, I do not expect any concessions or any failures in discussing the budget, a failure of the proposed option", she also said. "Unfortunately, I think we will live in an atmosphere of more conflicts and contradictions in society than agreements", the sociologist predicts.
"The fact is that the ruling majority is not acting in one direction, and although major shocks, such as the rotation of the speaker of parliament, proposed by the BSP, failed to cause a crisis, I do not think that the next steps will be so drastic", Rumyana Bachvarova also said.
"It is most logical for all of us to be concerned about both the readiness of society to accept the changes related to the introduction of the euro, and the possible difficulties that we would have in connection with the sale of "Lukoil". These are very significant factors that can cause public discontent and put us in a crisis situation. Let's hope that there will be no others," the specialist added.
