What are the political steps ahead for Bulgaria, Europe and the world - the topics are commented on in "The Day Begins with Georgi Lyubenov" by MEP Petar Volgin.
The fact that the war in Ukraine is ending is indisputable and there are two reasons for this - the situation on the front, where Russia is winning, but more importantly - the corruption scandal. This is what Petar Volgin believes. He added that the corruption scandal was caused by the US.
"This corruption scandal is not just the disclosure of another affair, but a direct sign from the US and Zelensky that if he continues to persist, he too can leave".
In his words, perhaps Zelensky himself is directly involved in all of this. According to him, the US is telling Zelensky - "look, you've come this far. From now on, we say what to do.
"If you continue to hinder this peace, you will leave too.
According to the MEP, the main sin of the EU is that during these years of the war in Ukraine, it did nothing to achieve peace.
"Otherwise, we remain locked in the trenches and everyone says "you are a fool", "no, no, you are a fool", and the war continues.
Regarding the protests and Budget 2026, Volgin said that the protests are something natural. According to him, a large part of the people who were in the square were there not so much because of the budget, but because they are against this government.
"Because this government is not good for Bulgaria. I think these protests will continue, but it is increasingly clear that this government is harmful to our country and it must go as soon as possible".
According to Volgin, PP-DB does not want the government to fall, but wants to participate in power and govern together with GERB and MRF. The people's dissatisfaction, in his words, is also related to the fact that "the government has lied in recent years so that we can be "pushed" into the eurozone." Now we are seeing the result of these "shashmologies", according to him.
It is normal for people to be angry and want the government to be changed, Volgin believes.
Peter Volgin stated that, both in the Bulgarian parliament and in the EU, there are "the same sociopaths". He sometimes called them "a collection of anonymous schizophrenics".
"What can you call a person who puts two theses into one statement. One is that we should arm ourselves because Russia will attack us when it finishes with Ukraine. And the other sentence is that this Russia is so asleep that their army has not been able to take over a village for four years. These Russians are absolute wretched people. You can't have both theses in one sentence".
