Petar Petrov: There may be early elections in February-March - 1

We were part of the protests, we protested against the resignation of the government. The attitude of the citizens brought together so many people, not this or that party. Starting tomorrow, we will start our own protests in the larger cities in the country. This was stated by Petar Petrov, Deputy Chairman of the PG of "Vazrazhdane".

„For months we have been talking about re-establishing the state, convening a Grand National Assembly and a new Constitution. Citizens have started to get really angry. People must take everything into their own hands, this includes voting en masse in elections, participating in the fairness of the vote. There is always a choice for whom to vote, even if it is with “I do not support anyone”. Of course, protests are one of the ways to overthrow the government and hold new elections, but only if they are massive”, he believes.

Petrov believes that there should be fewer deputies in the National Assembly – 180, and also that it is necessary to remove “meaningless” figures such as the Prosecutor General.

When asked if they have come to terms with the euro, the MP from “Vazrazhdane” emphasized: “We believe that what was duly submitted by the president should be voted on. We owe this to the Bulgarian citizens. The way the parties vote will be indicative of the upcoming early elections. We are pursuing the idea of asking citizens.“

“It will become clear by the end of the week or next week whether there will be elections. It is a matter of time before the government resigns. There may be early elections in February-March,“ he predicts.
