Prof. Rumyana Kolarova: PP has no vision. They are driven by circumstances - 1

At the moment there is complete uncertainty. We will see what will happen. We are observing something like a shock, given that there are many options, but there are no clear indications of where Bulgarian politics will go. This was stated by political scientist Prof. Rumyana Kolarova in the program “Panorama” on BNT, quoted by novini.bg.

I see an uprising of young people against mediocrity, orientalism, despotism and provincialism, said former Minister of Energy Miroslav Sevlievski.

I see a historical moment, an incredible rise of the protest wave, which in 2020 subsided, but did not die out, that is, an awakening. Provincialism is not the battle here, because an awful lot of small towns are also protesting. This is an awakening at the national level and a historical moment for politicians, who have a great responsibility, said journalist Ruja Raicheva.

According to Sevlievski, this is the end of a political process that began in the 1990s. Participation in this event was much more than party and political passions.

Currently, the actions of the PP are 100% opportunistic, this is inherent in populism. This does them no favors, emphasized Prof. Kolarova. Bulgaria faces a very important question - whether the model according to which Bulgarian democracy functions will change. I don't know if it will happen, because the change could be associated with a major crisis, she predicts.

We see that Boyko Borisov is much more inclined to listen to the square, Peevski is not. What is happening in the National Assembly and refusing to hear what is happening outside is impudence. The protests have essentially been replaced by less than 200 provocateurs. A much larger process is underway, and politicians are turning a blind eye. This will punish them, they are on the way to being swept away, because staying in power every day is pouring oil on the fire, warned Raycheva.

She added that we will enter the eurozone shaken.

This protest is not common, there are many nuclei in it that are contradictory. It may have been caused by the budget. I have not observed anything like this - people of different identities radically criticized the budget, despite this, the ruling party had decided to impose it because they have a majority. They united the ununitable. The PP has no vision. They are driven by circumstances. This is not the best way to manage a protest, because this is a wave that can wash you away. There are very few resources for a new political force, the political scientist explained.

According to Sevlievski, all politicians in parliament make Radev a hero on a daily basis.
