The Ambassadors of France and Germany visited the President of the Supreme Court of Cassation Galina Zakharova to express their support for the independence of the judiciary and the rule of law - two of the fundamental principles of democratic societies in Germany and France, in Bulgaria and all other EU member states.
This became clear from a post on the social networks of the two embassies.
The ambassadors emphasized the fundamental role that the Supreme Court of Cassation plays in guaranteeing access for all Bulgarian citizens to an independent and strong judicial system.
In this context, they discussed the prospects for exchanges with French and German judicial institutions with the aim of strengthening ties regarding the protection of the rule of law throughout the European Union, the publication also says.
