Borislav Sandov to FACT: I do not find any prerequisites that would force Radev to resign (VIDEO) - 1

I had the opportunity to comment yesterday before Rumen Radev announced that he was resigning as president. It was already clear to me that this would happen. To announce a statement to the people at 7 pm, it sounded like such a moment had come. But I also notice that he was forced to do it. Because so much talk about his exit from the presidency and his participation in the upcoming elections somehow forced this to happen.
This was commented in the FACT studio to Lili Marinkova by Borislav Sandov - co-chair of the "Green Movement". Here is more from his analysis:
How do I read this element? I consider him, for me personally, as inappropriate. Because a president should fulfill his role as a president elected by the people until the end of his term. I do not find any prerequisites that would force him to resign. That is why it is written in the Constitution why the Constitutional Court is considering this issue at all. Did it happen under pressure? I do not think he is under pressure. It is clear that he already has an ambition to participate in the executive branch through elections. What exactly will this look like, what will the program be, what will the people behind him be, as this is no longer a majority election. It is not just Rumen Radev, it is a political platform, these are requests, this is an orientation. And here the markers of what we can expect will become clear. We can expect a more conservative application, which will further consolidate the conservative niche in the political landscape. We expect one that is more neutral towards European integration, I say this as lightly as possible, not to say more inclined to speak out. Rather, this will be hidden, it will not be shown in the open. But something similar to what is happening in Central Europe, Slovakia, the Czech Republic. And still in Hungary. Something similar is expected from Radev as a request, as a position.
