We are introducing amendments to the Law on Non-Profit Legal Entities and the Commerce Act, so that the ban on using names that resemble those of administrations and state bodies is clearly regulated. This was announced by "Yes, Bulgaria" on Facebook in connection with the "Petrohan" case.
One of the questions in this case is why an NGO with the name "National Agency" was allowed to be registered. The answer is that it should not be, but unfortunately the law allows it, and this is visible from nearly 60 registered "national agencies" and "Bulgarian agencies" and hundreds more registered "agencies" - both as non-profit legal entities and as commercial companies, added from “Yes, Bulgaria“.
Most non-governmental organizations with similar names were registered by the court before this activity was transferred to the Registry Agency. The Ministry of Justice has requested an inspection of the case, which will establish that such companies and organizations have been registered multiple times, regardless of who is the minister, and are not the result of political pressure, the formation also indicated.
“Continuing the change - Democratic Bulgaria“ yesterday announced that they will submit to the National Assembly a draft Decision to oblige the State Agency “National Security“ and the Prosecutor's Office to provide information related to the activities of the Association “National Agency for Control of Protected Areas”.
