The new leader of the BSP Krum Zarkov has no commitments - neither political nor economic. This was stated by Georgi Parvanov, president in the period (2002 - 2012)
"There can be no doubt about his integrity. This is a prerequisite for pushing back and getting back into the game," the former head of state also said to Bulgaria ON AIR.
When asked whether the political puzzle will be rearranged in this campaign with the appearance of President Rumen Radev on the political terrain, Parvanov replied: "There will certainly be a rearrangement. What will this look like - let's have the patience in a few months and see".
"Radev's exit a year before the end of the term was not correct from the point of view of the idea of the institution of head of state. Secondly, if he wanted to fight the mafia, the oligarchy, from the position of head of state, he could have done it much more successfully", he also pointed out.
Regarding the tragedy in Petrokhan and Okolchitsa, Parvanov commented: "This tragedy is being politicized more than any other. This one is perhaps unique. This is part of the general atmosphere. Moreover, elections are approaching, and we have an old tradition - when elections come, everything is overexposed, blown up".
According to him, there are many dividing lines in our society.
"This one may not be the biggest, but it is the strangest dividing line. "And most of all, what worries me is that I see some confused institutions. I'm not saying that they acted inadequately - the investigation will show that, but everyone speaks and interprets things in their own way," Georgi Parvanov also commented.
