I am convinced that Rumen Radev will win the elections and form a government in one way or another. This was said by the former spokesman for three caretaker governments Anton Kutev in the studio of "Your Day" on NovaNews.
"I have no idea whether I will be invited to Rumen Radev's project. I would certainly like to do it because it is useful and makes sense. We are faced with a chance to change the country, whether we will succeed remains to be seen. Even if I do not have direct participation, I am ready to help. Not only the lists are the opportunity to participate in his project. Radev is the person who must determine where he sees the participation of each of us and whether he sees it at all", Kutev believes.
According to him, delaying his project would have led to disappointment, since people once again have hope for real change. "The protesters who caused the fall of the government and the creation of its project were not left-wing or right-wing sympathizers, there were all kinds. At the moment, the big goal is to break with the 35-year transition, with a mafia-like and corrupt political class. Rumen Radev has consistently defended his positions for 9 years, and they are not pro-Russian. I have only seen clear and nationally responsible policies that protect Bulgarian interests", Kutev commented.
According to him, Radev would lead a pro-Western foreign policy if he came to power. "His caretaker governments did several clear things - they completed the interconnector with Greece and started the one with Serbia, in order to secure the gas corridors. We also opened the supply of Azerbaijani gas, we negotiated with Alexandroupolis. Radev has never disputed our participation in NATO, he even had a firm position in favor of it. The allegations that he has Russophile views are an inferiority complex," said the former spokesman for three caretaker governments.
Anton Kutev believes that the new leader of the BSP Krum Zarkov is a politician with a future and a wonderful vision. "I think that the party will seek identity and will run away from ties with Radev. The probability of a coalition with him is not great, it would melt it. However, the main question first is whether he will enter parliament," he added.
Regarding the upcoming caretaker government, Kutev expressed hope that Gyurov's administration has a huge chance to change Bulgaria.
