The main political question this week is “Who will be the ministers in Andrey Gyurov's cabinet?, whom he must present to President Iliana Yotova no later than Thursday. We contacted some of them and they, as expected, refused to comment, we were unable to speak with others, bTV pointed out.

It is known with a high degree of certainty that Rumyana Bachvarova will be the Deputy Prime Minister. She held this position in Boyko Borisov's cabinet, and was also the head of the Ministry of Interior. Emil Ganchev, a former deputy minister, is being lined up for the Ministry of Interior.

The name of the former deputy minister in Kiril Petkov's cabinet - Emil Dechev is being lined up for the Ministry of Justice. For defense, it is claimed that Gyurov's choice is Ivan Kostov's former defense minister - Boyko Noev.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is being taken over by a lady, and we will find out who she is no later than Thursday. But - this will either be another former minister of Ivan Kostov in the person of Nadezhda Neynski, or a former minister of Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha - Gergana Passy.

In the economy, the choice is also between two former ministers - Traycho Traykov under Boyko Borisov and Daniela Vezieva under Stefan Yanev. The Ministry of Education is being taken over by former deputy minister Natalia Miteva. One minister is expected to retain his post in the “Gyurov“ cabinet, and that is Borislav Gutsanov in labor and social policy.

The former deputy mayor for finance and current deputy minister Georgi Klisurski is expected to take over the state treasury. And more former ministers are returning - Asena Serbezova in healthcare, Yulian Popov in ecology, Ivan Shishkov in MRDPW, Alexander Nikolov - in energy, Milena Stoycheva in innovations.

„If these names actually enter Gyurov's cabinet, this would be a signal that diversification is being sought, because they come from the entire political spectrum. This aims to calm public attitudes, because they are currently inflamed, to put it mildly. One thing is clear - Gyurov has focused on selecting professionals who can immediately enter households and start working from day one“, commented political scientist Elena Darieva.

According to political scientist Prof. Rumyana Kolarova, it is important to clarify to what extent Andrey Gyurov will have control over these ministers.

„The possible appointment of Rumyana Bachvarova shows that this Prime Minister has neither administrative nor political experience to be in this position. It will turn out that this is an absolutely parceled-out caretaker government, in which there will be neither responsibility nor direction. They may be good professionals, but some of them are far from politics, who will hold them accountable when they are finished? The third big question is who are the straw men?“, she also said.

Sociologist Prof. Maria Pirgova supported the thesis that the caretaker government will be parceled-out: „Gyurov's concept is to elect professionals who will not allow the caretaker government to be a waste of time in the administration, but for it to work. He will unite this team of ambitious professionals who will want to prove themselves. In my opinion, Ms. Bachvarova has changed her mind from previous years and is ready to take on this task professionally – fair elections“.

Regarding the preliminary sociological survey for the upcoming vote and the convincing lead for Rumen Radev's project, Kolarova commented that these results are preliminary and there will be dynamics in the data of the current president. According to her, the voter turnout is unrealistically high in this survey.

Darieva pointed out that the sociological surveys that will be conducted closer to the date of the vote will be more accurate. Pirgova stated that global processes will also have an impact on the elections in our country.
