Every minute that Stoil Tsitelkov stands as Deputy Prime Minister is an insult to Bulgarian society, to democracy and to parliamentarism. This was said by the chairman of the PG of “There is such a people“ Toshko Yordanov in a statement from the parliamentary rostrum regarding the participation of Stoil Tsitelkov as Deputy Prime Minister in Andrey Gyurov's official cabinet, reported by BTA.
Yordanov explained that by a verdict of the Sofia City Court of September 23, 2014, Tsitelkov was found guilty of driving a car with a blood alcohol concentration of 1.5 per mille on May 8, 2011.
Today, President Yotova stated that she would have asked him to resign if she had known whether the facts were true. Mrs. Yotova, I can send you the court decision, said Toshko Yordanov.
Under the current law, Tsitelkov should be in prison, he added. Tsitelkov resisted arrest and has two other criminal records for drugs - the second time was for 55 grams of marijuana, which is about 220 cigarettes, he said.
Yordanov pointed out that Tsitelkov was brought into the office by Gyurov, who is responsible for this.
