Workers in our country will be entitled to half a day of paid leave for the mandatory preventive examination with their personal doctor - this provides for a change in the Labor Code, which will be considered on second reading by the National Assembly next week.

The amendment is part of a package of changes to the Health Act, approved on first reading, with the deadline for proposals before the second reading expiring tomorrow.

Part of the package of legislative changes is the PP-DB proposal to introduce a preventive calendar in the electronic health record, in which examinations and tests would be set for everyone according to their health status. Automated issuance of referrals to a specialist is envisaged, with the personal doctor being able to change or supplement these referrals. People with electronic access to their records will receive an electronic invitation to appear for a preventive examination, and the rest will receive a letter with such an invitation from the Health Insurance Fund.

The amendments oblige the Minister of Health to prepare an ordinance on the type, quantity and quality of food in hospitals.

It is planned to criminalize the distribution of laughing gas and prohibit driving after using this gas.
