The State Electricity System Operator /ESO/ notified ERM West that on March 17, 2026, it will carry out repair activities on 110kV energy facilities at the “Varvara“ substation.
The activities require a change in the electricity supply scheme for electricity consumers in settlements in the municipalities of Belitsa and Yakoruda, Blagoevgrad region and the municipality of Velingrad, Pazardzhik region.
Due to the repair of the facilities owned by ESO and the change in the electricity supply scheme, on March 17, 2026, for the period from 08:00 to 16:30, power supply interruptions are possible in the villages of Galabovo, Lyutovo, Babyak, Chirek, Kuzyovo, Ninyovo, Palatik, Chereshovo, Ortsevo and Zlataritsa in the municipality of Belitsa, the village of Yurukovo in the municipality of Yakoruda, Blagoevgrad region and the villages of Bozyova and Garvan in the municipality of Velingrad, Pazardzhik region.
ERM Zapad, in its capacity as operator of the electricity distribution network, is obliged to ensure safe conditions for the implementation of activities at the ESO facility. Changing the power supply scheme cannot be carried out without operational switching, which lead to short power supply interruptions.
