The government has a shadow foreign minister and this is Ivo Hristov. He will have complete freedom to express the geopolitical positioning of the cabinet. This was said by sociologist Parvan Simeonov on the air of “The Day Live” on NOVA NEWS.
“The caretaker government admitted people for whom there are shadows of doubts from the past”, he said.
Simeonov does not believe that the government will be flexible, since it has received a serious mandate and therefore would not take into account external factors.
According to him, there are quite a few “strong players” in the cabinet, such as Galab Donev. But he stressed that it must be monitored whether the cabinet will be reformist. According to the sociologist, the vote for “Progressive Bulgaria” is entirely centrist. It is for this reason that he made an association with GERB – ”the creation of GERB is very similar to the creation of “Progressive Bulgaria”, GERB was also not the most reformist force”.
In the words of Simeonov, Nikolay Koprinkov “will be what he has always been – the operational person who deals with pragmatic forms of institutional party building”. And he added that there are such people in every party.
He said that the democratic community has always supported the idea of creating investigative commissions, and in case of refusal, it is said “then you are with Borisov and Peevski”. And he emphasized that such things have happened before and are part of the political game. According to him, “Peevski and Borisov will try to cling to the government”.
The expert pointed out that Radev will have to answer the question of whether there are business circles around him.
According to Simeonov, the prime minister “should not be able to influence anyone” personally, but should reform the management systems.
