Rumen Radev revealed who was his favorite for acting prime minister - 1

The narrow circle of possibilities for acting prime minister narrowed even more today with the resignation of the deputy ombudsman Elena Cherneva – Markova, and she was the only figure who is neither indirectly nor directly close to any political party. This is what President Rumen Radev said when handing over the second mandate to form a government to "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria", quoted by BTA.

The only one on the list for which it is clear that we can certainly claim that there is no incompatibility, the president said. The PP-DB returned the unfulfilled mandate to the president as soon as they received it.

How suddenly Mrs. Elena Cherneva – Markova decided to resign, Radev asked. When this fact was announced today in Parliament, I was really surprised that you remained silent and did not react. I think there should have been questions – why, how, what motives, how suddenly just yesterday, was there any pressure, why no hearing was initiated, he added. Don't be surprised that the probability of getting a political cabinet, which most likely will not be in your favor, increases sharply, Radev added.

The President pointed out that the PP-DB made efforts until the last moment for Bulgaria to have a regular government.

It is already too late for such a request, said the president of the call of the co-chairman of the PP-DB parliamentary group Kiril Petkov that the elections for the Bulgarian parliament be together with those for the European parliament.

"I called not to undertake thoughtless changes in the Constitution, especially in relation to the official cabinet. You have undertaken them and now the questions are becoming far more than the answers. I will do everything possible to ensure that the process of choosing a cabinet does not turn into a constitutional crisis. You did everything possible to severely limit the powers of the presidential institution," said Rumen Radev. In less than ten days, I will invite all political parties for consultations to make a final decision, as written in the Constitution, he added.

I did not refer the judicial reform to the Constitutional Court, but I referred the other amendments with the full knowledge that these changes will lead to crises and one crisis is already knocking on the door, Radev also pointed out.
