A 70-year-old man was injured in an explosion, probably caused by a gas cylinder, in Pernik, BNR reports.
The injured man was taken to hospital, where he will be left under observation. He was contacted, the police said.
The explosion caused serious damage to a house in the "Rudnicar" district. No other people were injured in the explosion, and no damage was caused to the neighboring houses.
Police cordoned off the area. An inspection was carried out by employees of the fire department and an operational group from the ODMVR.
The emergency and rescue unit of the municipality of Pernik is working at the scene of the explosion. A pre-trial proceeding is to be initiated to clarify the reasons that led to the explosion.
