We are currently waiting for a decision from the Higher Administrative Court, which stops the start of the process of building the National Children's Hospital. Because of the Law on Public Procurement, since at every stage of the construction of such a state facility, an appeal can be received from a company that participates in the tender and thus delay the process, said the former Minister of Health Prof. Hristo Hinkov in the BNT studio.
He expressed hope that the National Assembly will decide not only to declare that the hospital is a national object, but also to remove it from the Law on Public Procurement.
"There are not enough pediatricians, we rely on the existing personnel," added Prof. Hristo Hinkov.
He commented on the periodic disappearance of drugs from the market:
"The health fund cannot exercise control over the wholesale warehouses because it does not have contracts with them. The connection between the Health Fund and the wholesalers has been broken. The wholesale warehouses are full of insulin, but they do not reach the pharmacy network", said Prof. Hristo Hinkov.
