The year's first case of this venereal disease in the region was reported in mid-February. Since the beginning of the year, a total of six people have suffered from syphilis, compared to 14 for the entire past year. GPs have the duty to find the contacts of the sick and to carry out the necessary tests.
During the past week, 34 cases of chicken pox and three cases of scarlet fever were reported. There is one confirmed case of viral hepatitis type B, the hygiene inspection in Montana added.
