Today in Rome, Bulgarian MEP Ilhan Kyuchuk, a member of the group "Renew Europe" and co-chairman of ALDE, will be awarded the "Giovanni Malagodi" international award, established by the "Luigi Einaudi" foundation, BNR reported.

The celebration is organized in "Sala Zuccari" of the Italian Senate. Foundation "Luigi Einaudi" will present the first edition of the international award "Giovanni Malagodi" of the co-chairman of ALDE Ilhan Kyuchuk, it is said in the official communique of the event. It is specified that "this recognition for the Bulgarian MEP was achieved by a unanimous decision of the Foundation's Board of Directors". He was awarded "for having spent his life spreading high principles of freedom and responsibility as a result of the teachings of Giovanni Malagodi".

Malagodi is a former Senate President and the event is linked to his 120th birth anniversary. Malagodi is the historic leader of Italian and European liberals. He has been president of the Liberal International several times and is one of the founders of Europe of Democracy and Freedom (ELD), the predecessor of ALDE.

The "Luigi Einaudi" Foundation, which bears the name of the Italian president of the same name and was founded by Malagodi, is a cultural research center for politics and economics.

The ceremony of presenting the international award, founded by her, to MEP Ilhan Kyuchuk, will be attended by senators and officials related to the event.
