"The latest scandals are serious and will affect the elections. The question is whether it is good or bad if the caretaker government shows an attempt to fight crime. It would be good for the election to show it, but I doubt it. Many things are ahead, the time is dynamic, if the government only deals with preparing the elections, it will make a mistake," declared the former spokesman of the interim government "Donev". According to him, the current caretaker government should focus not only on holding the elections, but also on solving crime problems.
"I can't tell right now. Fair elections can be organized, but I doubt it will be possible with this government. If they focus on solving crime problems first, many things will change. The Chief Secretary turned out to be a protected witness, and he is on the front page of all the news. This indicates that something is wrong. It turned out that we have a flawed democracy in the elections, because the citizens have no choice. There are choices, but there is no choice. This is done quite deliberately," Kutev said on Bulgaria ON AIR.
Kutev is of the opinion that a cabinet will be formed after the elections, but this depends a lot on whether the Constitutional Court will cancel the provisions regarding the official cabinet being formed by the president.
"They will form a cabinet. But that depends a lot on the Constitutional Court. If he cancels the provisions that concern the cabinet to be formed by the president, I believe that they will very quickly form the government. I was confident that the assembly would last longer. "It's just that Borisov decided that it is better to govern without PP," commented the guest.
He thinks that Cornelia Ninova should give up her position as BSP chairman to someone else from the party.
"Every time I hear from Ninova that she will make a big left unification and there are always weaker and weaker results. There is no way to achieve a better result with it. One just has to know when to stop. If she gives up her seat to someone else from the party, there will be changes, but she won't do it," added Anton Kutev.
