"PP arose as a formation that should be an alternative to the vicious model of GERB and DPS. During the last three parliamentary elections, we explained how we would be an alternative to this vicious model, and two months after the last elections, the so-called assembly".
This was commented to BNT by MP Konstantin Bachiyski, whose party "Middle European Class left" the PP-DB coalition.
Bachiyski explained that SEC requested that in the coalition agreement with PP and DB it be written that in the next parliament they will not do joint management with GERB and DPS. However, this was not accepted.
"Mr. Kiril Petkov participated remotely in our executive board, in which a decision was made to sign a coalition agreement and there was a requirement from the SEC that this be explicitly recorded. We realized that it cannot be formulated. Most likely, since there was a partnership with GERB in the last 10 months, the alternative of having future relations with GERB is not excluded at the moment, if DPS does not interfere, Konstatin Bachiyski said.
For this reason, the party has decided that they will no longer be part of this coalition. What's more, they are starting to create a new supra-party unity that will be based on values. They will not participate in the upcoming elections, because time is needed for the formation of such a union.
"We believe that we cannot be an alternative to the vicious model of GERD and DPS if we interact with them.
According to him, the people who leave PP-DB are people with causes.
"We saw how during the 10 months of administration, in which both GERB and DPS had a great influence, things that we had won back began to be restored. We have seen the return of a policy that was conducted before 2021 to destroy state assets".
The deputy gave an example of the state port in Burgas - according to him, certain people want it to be destroyed so that it does not compete with other ports.
"It was seen that a very large part of the ministers that PP-DB wanted to be replaced, GERB and DPS opposed them. Minister Gvozdeikov, who was expelled from the PP, remained in the office and I do not rule out the influence of GERB and DPS on him", he also pointed out.
