Zhelyazkov's name was one of the most closely guarded secrets before the list was registered in the CEC, the deadline for which is May 7 - informs "24 hours".
Rosen Zhelyazkov was the chairman of the 49th National Assembly until its penultimate day, when he was overthrown by the votes of PP-DB, BSP, “Vazrazhdane” and ETC.
Now he will face his predecessor, also removed ahead of schedule from the leadership position in the parliament - Nikola Minchev. He is the leader of the Eurolist of “The Change” and DB.
Apart from Brussels, Zhelyazkov will be at the head of the list of GERB in Blagoevgrad for the 50th National Assembly - as he led it for the 49th.
