„BMF Shipping“ AD received the third 2024 45,000-ton bulk carrier. The flag of “Trapezitsa“ was laid up on June 30, 2024 at the Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co. shipyard. Ltd. Godmother of the vessel, which is the second in the history of the company with this name, is Mrs. Dani Domuschieva.
The event takes place 20 years after the reception of the first “Trapezitsa“ in the flotilla of bulkers.
Within this year “Shipping BMF“ received two more 45,000 ton ships – “Motherland“ and “Bulgaria“.
Captain of the new “Trapezitsa“ is k.d.p. Ivan Gatev – shipmaster with 10 years experience on the bridge. The chief mechanic is Eng. Dimitar Stefanov, who has proven his professionalism in the operation of this class of ships.
“Table” is the ninth of the series of 45,000-ton ships from the "Plana" series, which also includes "Midjur", "Buzludzha", "Malyovitsa", "Milin Kamak", "Okolchitsa", and "Rodina". and “Bulgaria”. In the summer of this year, the tenth ship of this series, which will be named “Tsarevets”, will be delivered.
This is yet another definite confirmation of the successful implementation of the program of the “Shipping BMF” for the renovation of the ship fleet in order to defend and expand the conquered positions on the international freight market, the company says.
The first “Trapezita“ is a 21,500 ton bulk carrier built in Varna. It was named after the daughter of our football legend Trifon Ivanov – Mariana. Under the command of k.d.p. Strahil Ivanov in 2005, the ship made a round-the-world tour, visiting all continents except Antarctica. It was decommissioned by the Shipping Company on May 17, 2021, when it was sold to another shipping company.
