Fadroma knocked down two fences of houses and ran over a bus parked nearby in Momin Prohod. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
The accident happened on Monday, when the machine from the nearby construction site started on its own. In addition to two fences and a parked bus, the machine also swept away an electric pole.
The owner of the painted bus, Ivaylo Staykov, claims that everything happened around 7:30 p.m.
„The workers from the site are Turkish. They don't understand Bulgarian. We could not understand each other until an interpreter arrived. The explanation was that the hydraulics and brakes of the fadroma had failed. Later, however, it turned out that maybe it wasn't exactly like that”, he explained to BTV.
It took several hours to remove the machine.
„Law enforcement controlled everything. The workers took her out in about an hour and a half”, explained the owner of the bus.
According to him, until now, no one from the contractor company has contacted him with the promise that he will receive any compensation for the damages.
The victim, Ivaylo Staykov, explained that the street was quite busy. Elderly people pass by as well as small children.
„We had no power until 2:00 in the morning. The pillar has deflected the fadrome to fall into the courtyard itself. The tire of the machine was on the door of the bus. "There are no people living in the house where she fell," Ivaylo Staykov said.
„My bus only has civil liability, on which they will pay me almost nothing. There is no casco. All of us who were affected called the police. We were questioned, we signed the documents for the interrogation. What will happen – it is not known”, he also said.
The man said he would most likely seek the help of a lawyer to find a representative for the company.
