Vanya Grigorova: Three days before the vote, the executive power intervened in the elections in Stara Zagora - 1

Three days before the vote, the executive power intervenes in the elections in Starozagorsko. This was stated by Vanya Grigorova, leader of the "Solidary Bulgaria" Coalition. and leader of the lists in 25 MIRs in Sofia, in Plovdiv-city and for the European Parliament in the elections on June 9, on the air of BNR.

"The topics we set in the election campaign obviously scared the rulers. And here is a piece of news from today - once again we have unacceptable interference by the institutions in the election process. In the afternoon, acting Minister of Energy Vladimir Malinov and Stara Zagora Mayor Zhivko Todorov, who is also a member of the management of GERB, urgently arrived in Radnevo, supposedly to talk with union leaders about the future of the "Maritsa-Iztok" complex, he said she. - We realize that three days before the day for reflection, the goal is obviously different. For the abundant coverage of the "event" a special transport has even been arranged for the media... If the rulers were so concerned about the future of the "Maritsa Iztok" complex, they could take advantage of the visit of the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and put the matter before her.

Vanya Grigorova added that instead of taking her on a pre-election walk in Plovdiv, where Von der Leyen was booed, they could have taken her to Radnevo and Stara Zagora to meet face to face with the victims of the "Green Deal".

"And in Starozagorsko they would hardly have welcomed her with flowers, nor would they have crowned her Queen of the Rose, even though the Rose Valley is close by. But such a conversation would have made much more sense in relation to the future of the "Maritsa East" complex, she commented. - We from "Solidary Bulgaria" we have already stated that even if there is a 5 percent chance to save the complex, we will use it. It is obvious that this cannot be done with quibbles and demagoguery, but with the will and character that we have proven to possess. Professionalism is also needed and we have it in the person of Eng. Shteryo Shterev, former director of "Mini Maritsa-Iztok" and vice-chairman of the Scientific and Technical Union for Mining, Geology and Metallurgy, who is the leader of our list in Starozagorsko.

Vanya Grigorova noted that over 120,000 people in Stara Zagora and neighboring areas are hostages of the "Green Deal" - a classic neoliberal policy of the European Commission, pushed allegedly out of concern for nature. "It increases inequalities not only between individual countries, but also within societies, she said. - An example of this is quite clear - with the purchase of an electric car, you get tax breaks, free parking spaces and other bonuses, but how much does this electric car cost and can an ordinary working person afford it?

After the European Parliament elections, everything will be subject to renegotiation, including the "Green Deal", since even the price of the carbon emissions that bury our energy is subject to political decisions. Let us recall that when Germany had to stock up on coal, the value of emissions was withheld, and even the imposition of sanctions against Russia was delayed.

The hypocrisy and double standards of the European Commission were also beautifully illustrated by one of the questions I was asked in Dimitrovgrad: And who will impose sanctions for harmful emissions on those who add fuel to the fire of the conflict in Ukraine with non-stop arms supplies ?".
