After a court decision increasing the capital return rate of "Sofia Water" - today, at a meeting of the KEVR, it became clear that the state regulator will approve the amount of the norm on July 10, BNR reported.
The rate of return affects the final price of water for consumers.
KEVR set 8.12 percent, like all other large water supply operators.
The director of "Sofia water" Vasil Trenev commented:
"Today's meeting follows the procedure for approving the business plan of "Sofia Water", which business plan was submitted to KEVR in the autumn of last year. We have proposed for this year a 22.34% increase in the price of water, which is mainly based on an increase in the prices of materials, goods and services that "Sofia Water" uses, including remuneration due to accumulated inflation. "Sofia Water" works 2022 and 2023 year without increased price, since there is no business plan, i.e. the accumulated increase for this year is what we have proposed".
