„We want a supra-party expert government with a clear program and horizon, because Bulgaria needs stability. But what GERB offers is neither expert nor non-partisan. The decision of the BSP National Council is not to support a cabinet with their mandate or with the DPS mandate.“
This was stated by the member of the BSP National Council Gergana Alexova before Eurocom.
According to her, the low voter turnout leads to the loss of legitimacy of the political parties.
„The result of the elections showed that we all made a mistake. The voters' agenda and the politicians' agenda have diverged somewhere. Therefore, everyone should do a serious analysis and read the messages of
citizens to the Bulgarian politicians”, Alexova believes.
In her words, in the last year, domestic problems have been displaced from foreign policy, and even the assembly government itself was formed on foreign policy principles.
„This cannot be the basis for the formation of the Bulgarian government. "Citizens should see in the government those who think about Bulgaria's priorities," Gergana Alexova said categorically.
She commented that in the BSP the dialogue has opened up and is being heard. As deputy chairman of the All-Party Control Commission, Alexova stressed that the processes in the BSP in the days after the resignation of Cornelia Ninova were in accordance with the party's statute.
„There can be no coup when you have resigned. In the last meeting of the Executive Bureau headed by Ninova, she surprised herself by declaring that she was resigning, that it was her conscious decision, and tasked the Bureau to hold a National Council on June 15 and elect an acting chairman. That is, everything that has been happening in the last 10 days can be said to be on her last orders as president”, said Gergana Alexova.
She explained the decision of the National Council not to include Kaloyan Metodiev in the parliamentary group of the BSP: “We have clear rules on how the candidate lists are arranged and this cannot be a one-man decision. It is not possible for all of us to understand from the registration of the lists in the CEC what our civil quota is, except for the chairman of the party that registered it. This is the final straw. Our party has collective bodies and does not tolerate individual decisions.“
According to Gergana Alexova, the unification of the left forces is possible and dialogue is key here.
„Many people need to remove their egos, we need to talk to each other, and on July 27, all left-wing people are invited to Buzludzha, regardless of whether or not they are members of one party or another, because together we are strong and we can do more. she concluded.
