We are ready to work for an expert cabinet with the third mandate. This was stated by the chairman of the PG of the BSP Borislav Gutsanov at the consultations with the president, quoted by BNT.
"We had a meeting of the bureau a little while ago and our general collective view is that our country needs wisdom and dialogicity. For the first and second terms, things are clearly exhausted, but as far as an expert cabinet, a cabinet of national salvation is concerned , of the national agreement, then we are really ready to work on such a wise model for getting out of this situation in which we find ourselves. For us, it is key to start a strong left-wing unification, which our country needs and in the last 2 years this was missing in political life," Borislav Gutsanov summarized.
"During the consultations, several possible approaches for untangling the political knot were outlined - from a minority government, through an expert program government and from today's proposal - a clearly expressed anti GERB-SDS coalition. What will be your position", President Rumen Radev asked at the beginning of the consultations.
"There are about 15 such notebooks from the endless conversations during the consultations that we conducted these two years, which is an illustration of this terrifying political crisis in which the Bulgarian society is currently. This is above all a crisis of confidence. The crisis of confidence is clearly illustrated by the low voter turnout," Atanas Zafirov stressed.
Zafirov commented on the complex geopolitical situation and the tension with North Macedonia against the background of pronounced anti-Bulgarian rhetoric.
"In this difficult situation before us, there are two ways - one way is very convenient to be bystanders of what is happening, to take a comfortable role of opposition, on which nothing depends. The other way is to try to participate in these processes, being realistic and aware of the result that we got in this election. Our collective bodies are categorical - with GERB we will not participate in any form with any management. We painfully suffered these results of fragmentation of the left political space. We have started our consolidation shift to the left. At the same time, as a party with great experience, we are obliged to offer a different approach. We continue to think that the elections are not a good decision at the moment and we must work to form a reasonable pro-Bulgarian executive and sustainable Bulgarian power. We have the maturity to be a conductor of such a dialogue and a balancer of this complex situation", Zafirov also said.
