Dear Mr. Terziev, stop the speculations and lies! I insist on the immediate resignation of Mayor Terziev and his entire team! There is a court decision and it is clear, there is nothing to interpret!
For this, he called on "Facebook" Diana Rusinova from the European Center for Transport Policies.
We have witnessed yet another inadequate comment by the Metropolitan Municipality regarding the organization of the traffic, which they introduced illegally on Blvd. “P. Evtimii“, “Vitosha“ Blvd. and St. “Prof. F. Nansen“.
A month ago and literally for a week, they introduced an absolutely illegal movement organization without asking anyone, they just did what they decided. Then they attacked everyone who tried to explain to them that what was done was illegal and they should return to the old situation.
There was no one to hear us.
Now, however, one had to act carefully and judge what was best and most correct. Dear colleagues, dear Mr. Terziev, why didn't you think about this two months ago, when you got us into all this chaos. Why didn't you act carefully when you publicly lied back in April that the paving would be repaired on "Patriarch Euthymius" Blvd.?
Now again, Mayor Terziev has taken actions that may prove to be in violation of Bulgarian laws. There is a decision of the court and it is clear, there is nothing to interpret it. Neither we from the European Center for Transport Policies, nor the citizens of Sofia, nor the SDVR Sofia Police made the Sofia Municipality introduce illegal traffic organization before the elections!
Whatever the ACSG and the Supreme Court had to say, they said it in the orders and determinations they issued, and they are not subject to interpretation.
The mayor of Sofia is not so special that the court is obliged to explain himself further. Moreover, both documents from the ASSG and the BAS are written clearly and precisely and 100% confirm that the SO made an illegal organization of the movement.
Last but not least, it should be emphasized that the mayor's position that the previous administration did nothing to renew the General Plan for the organization of traffic in the city of Sofia also does not correspond to the objective truth. In September 2023, the previous administration of the SO signed a contract under the LIFE22-IPC-BG-LIFE-SIP CLIMA-SUMP project, or in other words, secured European funding for the preparation of the GPOD. It is interesting, however, why almost seven months after taking office, Mayor Terziev and his administration have not done anything to start a procedure for creating a new GPOD? And now we are all to blame for their incompetence and complete, total incompetence.
I insist on the immediate resignation of Mayor Terziev and his entire team,
because all together they are getting us into one illegal and dangerous act after another. The worst thing is that their hysteria creates complete chaos and by the time someone gets hurt it will be too late. Long gone are the days when justice was handed out without a court or verdict, and it is not the mayor Vasil Terziev who has the right to decide what is legal and what is not, but the court!
Mr. Mayor, your actions, above all, endanger people's lives and health, no one is to blame for the fact that you allowed the laws in Bulgaria to be violated. Time to go before someone gets hurt walking on your illegally organized gutters.
I fully support the SDVR and their attempts to bring order to the lawlessness brought to us on the streets of Sofia by Mayor Terziev.
