Before the vote of the project cabinet "Zhelyazkov" MPs will listen to Acting Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dimitar Glavchev, Defense Minister Atanas Zapryanov and Acting Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nevyana Miteva regarding the position that our country will defend during the NATO Summit in Washington from July 9 to 11, reported BNT.
Bulgaria's position on the forum, approved by the official cabinet, has already been sent to the Secret Registry of the National Assembly. The government said it reflects the national interest and reaffirms consistent support for Ukraine. The position is fully in line with the decisions of the National Assembly, the government also stated and reminded that the document is classified.
Due to disagreement with some provisions of the positions adopted by the cabinet, which refer to our country's commitments regarding the war in Ukraine, the head of state Rumen Radev did not accept the proposal of the Council of Ministers to lead the Bulgarian delegation at the NATO summit in Washington.
