Over the past week, numerous party structures across the country have released open letters regarding the removal of key figures from the DPS. Ramadan Atalay is one of them.
According to Atalay, he is currently being labeled as a coup plotter. “I ask myself who is a coup d'etat when you use pressure and force to try to change the opinion of the public,”, he said.
Atalai quotes an email that the honorary chairman of the DPS wrote to Delyan Peevski. It reads “According to the situation, the DPS must have clearly distinguished chairmen, both for the party and for the parliamentary group – Chakarov and Peevski. Which means co-chairs in the negotiation process, common decisions with two signatures, possibly a coalition government. Everything must be legitimized, supported by the signature of the two co-presidents.
According to him, after this email, Peevski cut off his contacts with Dogan. According to Atalay Dogan, he urged the deputies of the DPS not to support the "Zhelyazkov" cabinet.
„The relationship between Dogan and Peevski is in a rift at the moment. I took the liberty of asking Delyan to call Dogan and let's find out what's going on,“ said Atalay.
