Things in DPS are like quicksand – where the wind blows, the sand goes. Güner Tahir said this in an interview with BNR. Until 1996, when he left DPS, he was part of the narrow party leadership, and then he made the first attempt to give an alternative to the ethnic Turks, creating the National Movement for Rights and Freedoms.
On the occasion of the meeting of MPs and members of the DPS in Ahmed Dogan's summer residence in Rosenets, Guner Tahir commented:
„Ahmed Dogan, as always, has taken the position of Zeus and is trying from Olympus to truly take the role of honorary chairman.“
Ramadan Atalay was also present at the meeting, who announced during the week that Ahmed Dogan had recommended the Movement not to support the proposed GERB-SDS cabinet. The MP was then expelled from the party's parliamentary group.
„Ramadan Atalay, I am not sure that he will become the new strongman, but I am sure that he is as brutal and cheeky as Delyan Peevski. Because the other MPs who were expelled or were forced are not so ambitious and brazen to do what Atalay did. This worked well for the honorary chairman because he had a messenger. I feel sorry for my colleagues from DPS, because if they were a normal party, these processes would not have happened in this way“, commented in "Politically INCORRECT" Guner Tahir.
In his words, these processes begin with the election of the two co-chairmen on February 24 and “pass through the first meeting of the Central Council on March 8, when the members of the Council came to Sofia so that within 14 minutes the new boss to the Delyan Peevski cooperative to give them the appropriate orders and for them to leave their places.“
„Jevdet Chakarov is right about one thing – the governing bodies do not work, there are no meetings of the parliamentary group, there are no meetings of the Central Council, unilateral decisions are made and the other co-chairman is ignored. In the so-called “reactions“ of the respective regional leaderships for unification and unification, "honorary chairman Ahmed Dogan and chairman Delyan Peevski" is mentioned, not "the co-chairman". Nobody mentions Jevdet Chakarov….“
„Regardless of how events develop, I think Dogan should have one thing in mind - he taught them to be like that. He allowed this party and himself to be surrounded by clientelists who go where the wind blows.“
According to Guner Tahir, from yesterday another wind blew and “those circles that sit behind the two and continue to be behind a shadow intervened and the wind blew towards Dogan".
„The countdown starts from here. Peevski is done, but he won't be done right away. This will take some time, as there may be extraordinary parliamentary elections.“
"Those who once created Dogan, those who made the DPS project, they recommended Peevski to him a long time ago, back in 2004, and since then his career began. (..) Delyan Peevski was being groomed as Ahmed Dogan's successor, because it was that backstage that decided that he had already played his role and a younger person should take over the party."
Güner Tahir predicts that Delyan Peevski will be co-chairman of the DPS within 6, maximum 8 months.
In his words, from now on there will be no visible tension between Peevski and Dogan:
„Peevski also has no interest in him going in another direction that is not predictable. Those who hold Dogan also hold Peevski. So both of them will do things very carefully and gradually over time so that they happen as if they happened in an objective way.“
We will find out who prevailed over Peevski's actions, Guner Tahir also thinks:
„Delyan Peeski will not be so confident. He will start to comply with the co-chairman Jevdet Chakarov. He has already announced that he will no longer exclude MPs.“
„If Dogan really calls the others from the DPS tomorrow, it will be the litmus test who are still close to Peevski”, Güner Tahir also predicts.
