The parliamentary group of the PP-DB refused the DPS to participate in the negotiations to form a government with the second mandate, BTA reports. This is stated in a letter from the chairman of the parliamentary group academician Nikolay Denkov, addressed to Delyan Peevski, chairman of the parliamentary group “Movement for Rights and Freedoms”.
„We believe that your approach cannot lead to a government that works in the interest of the country and restores voters' trust in the institutions. Together with GERB, you provoked the early elections, now it is your responsibility to create a government,”, the letter states.
The reason for the refusal is the lack of key priorities, including the rule of law, the fight against corruption, reforms in the judiciary, in regulators, a system for conducting fair tenders and full membership in the Eurozone and land-based Schengen.
