The asphalt along the bus lanes on Boulevard "Patriarch Euthymius" collapsed under the pressure of passing trolleys, municipal councilors from GERB-SDS report.
According to them, the reorganization of traffic there has contributed to the compromising of the pavement.
The municipality replied that the heat caused the deformities.
„Asphalt, which two months later after its laying is already in ruts in the order of 5 to 8 cm and I think this is extremely scandalous, because in addition to this repair and this organization was carried out illegally, which is not Anton Hekimyan says it, and the Bulgarian court says it. We see that this repair is extremely poorly done. It is of poor quality, said Anton Hekimyan, municipal councilor from GERB-SDS.
The municipality indicated that only 10% of the new asphalt is damaged and is still under warranty, while the remaining 90% of the tracks are on the old asphalt.
They add that a similar problem has appeared on other road sections in the city. They will be repaved as soon as the high temperatures drop.
